I have been so busy lately that I forgot to eat at one point! While most spent the holiday weekend enjoying the beautiful weather and the company of friends and family I did not. I along with my wife had the pleasure of packing up the house and moving into a new place; I say “had the pleasure” and mean nothing of the sense! Two things I hate most are usually associated with each and I found myself doing both of them this weekend, moving and painting. So there I was on Sunday night painting the walls in our new bedroom with my wife, the color we choose was grey my wife seems to think its blue and Lowes calls it Flint Smoke so no one will win this one! As I rolled the walls of the bedroom with my trusty paint roller I could not help but think of how far I have come. I moved our furniture all day Saturday and again on Sunday not to mention the trip to Ikea (Lego Land for adults) which ended with new dressers for me to assemble. All of that time spent on my feet moving heavy objects and I still had the energy but lacking the desire to paint the walls in our new bedroom.
100+ pounds ago I would have hired someone to do both or made it a two weekend move, but now I am able to do it and happy about it as well. Life as someone who is as big as I was is difficult to imagine and even harder to live. I know I have a lot of work ahead of me but I feel so good with where I am now and can’t wait to reach my goal.
Well here is the info you have been waiting for. Today I stepped on the scale and it shouted back 342 LBS.
- · 110 pounds of total weight loss
- · 48.5% to my goal of 227 lbs lost in one year
- · 24.3% of total body weight lost
