I consider myself an above average golfer. I carry close to a 5 handicap and at one point in time I was a +1 index. As the weight came on my golf game slowly got worse… and it got to the point it was not fun to play! I still played as it has always been a passion but shooting in the 80’s is not my idea of a good time…
I started a 36 player 9 hole Double Elimination Match Play Championship well before my surgery date and thought I was going to have to forfeit my next match because of the surgery but other competiitors took too long and I ended up being able to take my 6 weeks of recovery and come back to play… I ended up winning the looser bracket and had to beat the winner of the winners bracket TWICE to take home the $600 prize… and today I did it!
I know I said no more pics of me until I hit my 100 pound goal but look at me now 90 pounds gone!
Loosing weight gives me confidence in other areas of my life and I think that would happen with anyone in my position. I along with my caddy and great friend Jake took to the course with the mission to bring home the trophy. We walked the course, something I have not been able to do without exhausting myself in years. In college I had to walk 36 holes a day for my NCAA events! I know I have a long way to go but I thought I would share this small golf accomplishment that I could not have done without taking my life in this new direction!
Great playing yesterday. I had such a blast as your world class looper. I’ll never forget the tip you gave me, “when you die, on your death bed, you will receive total consciousness”.
So I got that going for me, which is nice.
Nice! Thats all I can say to that one!!!! I do have one complaint, My Vokey 56 Degree has some grass in the grooves!
